Painting with wine
Wine grisaille – painting with wine – this is the name of an unusual art that has existed for more than several decades and is rightfully considered one of the unique ways of painting. To create paintings with this technique, only the special types of wines are used, such as: Saferavi, Aladasturi or Rkatsiteli. In the master class of wine painting, an unusual but not difficult painting technique is introduced where both experienced and amateur tourists can be equally involved. If you wish, you can take your artwork with you to commemorate your time spent at Chateau Fort de Manavi.
Since painting with wine requires some time – at least, to dry the every layer of the painting – we recommend you to combine this master class with degustation of wine produced from local grape varieties.
Gingerbread “Themed Cookies” Decoration with Icing
Gingerbread cookies are not only a culinary craft but also a form of art with deep roots in ancient traditions. In Georgia, decorating gingerbread with icing also has its own unique characteristics. While Georgia is more famous for its traditional sweets like churchkhela, gozinaki, and baklava, the modern trend of decorating gingerbread cookies is also developing actively and adds a Georgian touch. Georgian patterns featuring elements like grapevines, floral motifs, and geometric shapes are commonly seen. “Themed gingerbread cookies” can vary greatly: New Year, Easter, Mother’s Day, cartoon-themed for children, wedding cookies, and more. For the master class, each participant will be provided with “themed gingerbread cookie blanks,” icing, decorations, and packaging. At the end, we’ll enjoy tea or cocoa, admiring what we’ve created and also tasting our work.
The kit includes:
– Three gingerbread cookies (tree, mitten, ornament)
– Three icing colors (white, red, green)
– Sprinkles and a skewer.
Suitable for everyone: adults and children! No experience required – just a desire to create. Inspiration and creativity – make gifts with your own hands!
