Program (Friday – Sunday):

Friday:

  • Meeting with a company representative.
  • Accommodation at «Shato Fort de Manavi».
  • Wine and chacha tasting as a gift from the owner.
  • Dinner in traditional Kakhetian style. Enjoy unlimited wine from the qvevri and chacha.
  • Overnight stay.

Saturday:

  • Early breakfast (buffet).
  • Fishing at the «Manavi Green Lakes».
  • Lunch at «Shato Fort de Manavi» (optional – we can prepare the fish you catch for lunch or dinner).
  • Rest. Free time.
  • Optional activities (by prior arrangement) — baking traditional Georgian bread (puri) in a tone, making churchkhela, or other culinary masterclasses, distilling fresh chacha, painting with wine.
  • Dinner in traditional Kakhetian style. Enjoy unlimited wine from the qvevri and chacha.
  • Overnight stay.

Sunday:

  • Late breakfast (buffet).
  • Departure home.

Manavi Lakes, located in Georgia, are an important body of water for the local ecosystem, home to various fish species. Some of the most common fish species found in these lakes include:
Silver Carp (sabacho) – а large fish with soft meat, often farmed in fish farms. Used for frying, casseroles, and soups.
White Amur (amuri) – а large fish with tender meat, prefers waters with vegetation. Grilled, fried, baked, and made into soups.
Carp (karasi) – а fatty fish, popular for frying, casseroles, and soups. Found in calm freshwater bodies.
Catfish (soma) – а large fish with a rich flavor. The meat is used in soups, frying, and casseroles.
Kobri – а small fish from the carp family, found in mountain rivers. Used for frying and smoking.
Murtsa – а fish from the carp family, prefers cool river waters, feeds on insects and algae. Caught for frying and smoking.
Tsvira – а small fish found in mountain rivers. Popular for frying and casseroles.
Kashkari (Kashari) – а small fish popular in Georgia’s coastal regions, part of the national cuisine with tender meat, grilled or used in soups.
Shamaya – а fish from the salmon family, prized for its excellent meat. Used in fried and smoked dishes.
Kalkali – а small fish from the Black Sea with a delicate taste, used in soups, fried, or smoked.

These fish are important components of Georgian cuisine and fishing.

Included in the price:
– Accommodation at the hotel: 2 nights at «Shato Fort de Manavi», standard double rooms with breakfast.
– Wine and chacha tasting from the qvevri at «Shato Fort de Manavi».

*Organized transfer to/from «Shato Fort de Manavi» (half an hour from Tbilisi via the new highway) is available for an additional charge.

*Fishing conditions:
Fishing rods and kayaks can be rented if needed.
Catch – 1 kg of fish (except catfish) for 20 GEL, 1 kg of catfish for 30 GEL.
